Subject: low water pressure on hot side of faucets. In most cases it's debris from the water heater called dip tube. There is a plastic tube on the cold side inlet on tank type water heaters that rots, and there is white plastic shavings floating in the top of the tank. The plastic gets stuck inside the faucets and reduces pressure, it also gets stuck inside the aerators on the end of the spouts. This problem is with older water heaters in most cases, over eight years. How to solve the promlem The best The best way to solve the problem is to replace the water heater, it is very difficult to flush out all the plastic shavings out of the tank. Will also need to remove the plastic shavings out of the faucets, this can be difficult also, and may need to call a professional for that job. You can take your faucets apart and try to remove the debris. Hope this is helpful please contact me if you need more info. Thanks , Joe the plumber online.
Article on gas tankless water heater. Thinking about replacing that old gas burning tank type water heater, but not sure, well I'm hear to tell you it's time. There are lots of advantages to going tankless today but the main is saving money on natural gas or L.P. [ propane ]. The second advantage is a endless supply of hot water, lots of people living in your house and always running out of hot water, no more if you go tankless. You will be able to fill that large whirlpool tub to the top and still have plenty of hot water left. Instead of having to stagger hot water usage you will be able to run the dishwasher, washing machine, and take a bath at the same time. Tankless water heaters only heat on demand. There is no gas wasted heating a large tank of water when it is off. You will pay more money for a tankless but it will pay for itself in the long run with lower energy costs. In most cases during the installation, you will need to run a larger gas supply to the unit and a larger vent out through the roof unless it is outside, which will add to the labor cost. A 50 gallon gas water heater will cost about $400.00 and a good tanlkless with a flow rate of about 9 gpm will cost about $1200.00. I recommend getting a unit at with at least 9 gpm unless there is a small demand of hot water you may get by with a 6.9 gpm. Flow rate is very important. You want to make sure a certified professional plumber installs your new unit. Have any other questions please contact me through my contact page, Thanks Joe.
How to adjust water temperature on gas water heater. At the bottom of the tank on the square gas control valve there is a red knob for adjusting the temperature. The lowest setting on the dial will be vacation, the heater is basically turned off.
How to adjust temperature on gas water heater. For a normal temperature of hundred twenty degrees set it on the line in middle of the dial. This is the setting I would recommend in most situations to prevent scalding of children and the elderly.
How to adjust temperature on gas water heater. Anything past the normal setting on a water heater can be very dangerous. I DO not recommend ever going beyond the normal SETTING of hundred twenty degrees. Severe burns, scalding and death can occur. It only takes a second to receive severe burns with water above hundred twenty degrees.

How To Install A Toilet
This is a tutorial on installing a new toilet fresh out of the box.
First thing is to remove the old toilet. Turn the water supply valve off underneath the toilet and disconnect the supply line from the tank. You may want to replace the stop and supply for the toilet. With a sponge and a bucket you want to remove the water from the tank and the bowl. I would recommend latex gloves for plumbing work. You want to remove the nuts from the bolts at the bottom so you can pull the toilet and discard. The nuts can be very difficult to remove if the bolts are rusted, and they may need to be cut off. You will want to use a new wax seal and flange bolts for the install. We will install the bowl first. Take the bowl and turn it upside down to put the wax seal on the bottom around the hole. With the new bolts in the flange set the toilet down on the flange with the bolts going through the holes on the bowl.
Remove the tank from the box and get out the hardware for thank install. You want to get the caps out for the flange bolts for bottom so they cover the bolts. After you have the bottom bolts tight and the caps on you are ready to install tank. Put the gasket on and the tank bolts through the holes and set it on the bowl and line up the holes. Tighten up the tank bolts snug. DO NOT OVER TIGHEND BOLTS. After tank is on reinstall water supply line to the tank and turn on. You are now ready to install the seat and your done.
